On May 15, restaurants in Eastern Canada were awarded Michelin stars for the first time. The restaurant “Tanière” immediately received two stars. Its avant-garde head chef François-Emmanuel Nicol experiments here with all the nuances that the immense terroir of Québec’s boreal zone has to offer.
“Our anonymous inspectors were impressed by the culinary experiences throughout the entire province of Québec,” said Gwendal Poullennec, International Director of the Michelin Guide. “The selection offers a wide range of awards and cuisines - all of which highlight unique regional ingredients and exceptional techniques.” We congratulate the chefs and restaurant teams on their induction into the MICHELIN Guide family! Mavi Magazine has already reported on the new discoveries and is delighted that “Laurie Raphaël” and “ARVI,” both of which were awarded a Michelin star, are among them.
